ASCIMER visit to Amman took place in beginning of the month of March 2015, it was a three day visit in which ASCIMER team members under the guidance of ASCIMER team member Prof. Ali Maquosi visited the main projects and initiatives related to the Smart development of the city of Amman.

The main objectives of the visit were: 

• Retrieving direct information on urban context and urban strategies.
• Identifying specific needs of the city. 
• Understanding local complexity in decision-making.
• Detecting planned projects aligned with a smart vision.
• Analysing on-site some already identified Smart Projects. 
• Analysing assessment and evaluation methodologies.
