The 3rd ASCIMER Smart City Workshop will take place in Casablanca on the 10th and 11th October and will leverage the participation of the project’s Expert Research Group that will provide their expertise from cities all around the Mediterranean, and from the north of Europe.
The workshop has been organized together by the EIB, ASCIMER and TRANSyT, having as main supporters ZENATA, UfM and the CMI with the collaboration of MedCites. Therefore the subject of the event will be Smart Cities in the Mediterranean Region and more specifically the assessment, implementation and financing of smart city projects. The objectives of the 3rd ASCIMER Workshop are:
ASCIMER (Assessing Smart City Initiatives for the Mediterranean Region) is a 3-year research project supported by the European Investment Bank under the EIB University Research Sponsorship Programme (EIBURS). The overall goal of this research program is to develop a comprehensive framework to help public and private stakeholders to make informed decisions about Smart City investment strategies and to build skills to evaluate and prioritize these kinds of projects, including solving difficulties regarding deployment and transferability.
